On Monday, January 29, 2024, the United Nigeria Association of Tulsa (UNAT) embodied the spirit of community service by hosting a feeding program for the homeless at the Tulsa Day Center. Led by Chairman Steven Eure and joined by dedicated board members, this initiative marked another milestone in UNAT’s ongoing commitment to giving back.
For two years, UNAT has been actively engaging in various community outreach programs, addressing diverse needs and fostering a sense of connection among Tulsans. This latest event underscored the organization’s dedication to supporting the most vulnerable members of society.
Chairman Steven Eure and UNAT board members served warm meals, offered kindness, and listened to the stories of those experiencing homelessness.
The Tulsa Day Center, a vital hub for homeless services, welcomed UNAT’s efforts and reinforced the significance of such partnerships. UNAT’s presence not only provided sustenance but also brought hope and a sense of belonging to those often overlooked.
Steven Eure emphasized the importance of remembering and supporting the less fortunate, encouraging the community to join UNAT in their mission. “We must recognize the struggles within our society and work together to uplift one another,” he said. “Every helping hand and caring heart makes a difference.”
The Tulsa Day Center expressed gratitude for UNAT’s continued partnership and commitment to serving the homeless population.
Chairman Eure thanked the participating members, acknowledging their time and compassion as invaluable assets to the community.
The United Nigeria Association of Tulsa’s community outreach program serves as a shining example of the impact that collective kindness and empathy can have. Through initiatives like these, UNAT inspires others to join forces in building a more compassionate society.
